Core advantages
Excellent cost-performance ratio and comprehensive performance: This is the greatest advantage of AZS-36. It achieves the best balance among the resistance to glass liquid erosion, thermal shock stability, and cost. Compared with AZS-33, the erosion resistance has significantly improved; compared with AZS-41, the thermal shock stability is better and the cost is lower.
Excellent resistance to glass liquid erosion: Thanks to the approximately 36% ZrO₂ content, its crystal structure is mainly composed of eutectic anatase-gypsum phases, which can effectively prevent the penetration and erosion of the glass liquid, and has a low own dissolution rate, which can greatly reduce the defects such as stones and stripes in the glass products.
Good thermal shock resistance: Compared with AZS-41 with a higher zirconium content, its thermal expansion coefficient is relatively lower, and the internal micro-crack structure is also conducive to buffering thermal stress, so it has a stronger ability to withstand sudden temperature changes.
High structural strength and density: Through the electric melting process, the structure is very dense, with a low porosity, high mechanical strength, and can withstand the erosion and mechanical load of the glass liquid flow and the structure of the kiln.
Low glass contamination: Due to its excellent erosion resistance, the materials that are eroded and脱落 (fall off) into the glass melt are relatively few, which helps to improve the quality of the glass.
Main applications
AZS-36 is a general-purpose high-performance refractory material that is used in almost all types of glass melting furnaces:
Float glass furnaces: This is the largest application field. It is mainly used for:
The upper part of the melting pool wall (the "hot spot" area in contact with the glass liquid and its vicinity)
The paving bricks on the bottom of the pool (placed on the insulation layer and directly in contact with the glass liquid)
The flow channel (the key passage connecting the melting pool and the clarification pool, one of the most severely eroded and eroded areas, AZS-36 is the "standard" or preferred choice here)
The breast wall, small furnace opening, small furnace stack
Some clarification pool areas
Domestic glass, tableware glass, special glass furnaces: Also used as the inner lining material for key parts such as the melting pool, working pool, etc.
Glass fiber furnaces: Used for severely eroded parts such as electrode bricks, channels, and leak plates.
Others: Some waste melting furnaces and metal smelting furnaces in high-temperature erosion areas.
